Kosher Hospitality

Kosher integrity is not an optional feature of Silent Retreatment. It is foundational.

Food as Part of the Retreat

At Silent Retreatment, meals are not merely a break from the spiritual work of the day — they are part of it. Eating kosher food, prepared with care and intention, is itself an act of Jewish consciousness. The table is set thoughtfully. The food is nourishing. The atmosphere during meals reflects the spirit of the retreat: quiet, present, and unhurried.

Dietary Needs

We understand that participants may have a range of dietary needs beyond the requirements of kashrut. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-sensitive, and allergy-aware options may be available when arranged in advance. We ask that all dietary needs be communicated at the time of registration so that we can accommodate them properly. We cannot guarantee accommodation for all dietary restrictions, but we will make every reasonable effort to do so.

Outside Food Policy

To maintain the kashrut integrity of the retreat environment, outside food is generally not permitted. Exceptions may be made for medical necessity. Full details will be communicated with each retreat's registration information.
